The Community Service Project chosen by the Spring 2018 Girls Who Code was Pet Adoption! The members started off learning coding logic basics with Scratch programming, blockly, HTML, and Javascript language. After learning code basics they then started working on websites and iOS/Android mobile apps! They worked together for 10 weeks coding their web and mobile app projects. Furthermore, they helped one another by testing, debugging and brain storming solution to problems that naturally arise during development phase of an app. In addition, their were a few Moms that helped out as well! Facilitators Jenny Kunkel (Programmer at Woodward), Mindy Stevens (Programmer at Woodward), Melissa Gear (Programmer at RVC), Laura Angel (RVC Student), and Jane Swift (RVC Students) also helped as needed! "Great Job to all on the hard work you put into these code projects!" - Professor Chuck Konkol, Rock Valley College Apply Now for Fall 2018 Cohort! Websites
